Reno, NV – September 19, 2006 - Piedmont Mining Company, Inc. (stock symbol: PIED) announced today that the Company's Form SB-2 registration statement was declared effective by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 18, 2006. The Company is now awaiting approval from the U.S. National Association of Securities Dealers in order to have its common shares quoted on the U.S. Over-The-Counter Bulletin Board (“OTC Bulletin Board”).
